BA Venture Partners has added Chad Kinzelberg as its newest
director and hired two new associates.
Kinzelberg, a former executive with Mountain View, Calif.-based
VeriSign Inc., will concentrate on software investments. He
was hired to the team to keep up with an increasing pace of
deal flow coming in, according to managing director Sharon
Wienbar. Kinzelberg is the newest addition to the team since
Rob Herb, a former AMD executive, joined as a venture partner
in 2005.
The two new associates are Ben Fu, a former senior sales
engineer with Waltham, Mass.-based IMLogic Inc., and Nancy
Lynch, a former orthopedic hand surgeon who recently graduated
from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. They are
replacing two associates who are returning to business school.
"This has been a good and busy year with a number of new
investments," said Kate Mitchell, managing director of BA
Venture Partners, in a statement. "As a result we continue
to add to the depth of our team."
The Foster City, Calif.-based firm is currently investing
out of its $450 million seventh fund and backs mid-stage companies
across various information technology and life sciences categories.
