Omniture Inc. (Nasdaq: OMTR) has agreed to acquire certain assets of Mercado Software Inc., a Pleasanton, Calif.-based provider of e-commerce search, navigation, and merchandising solutions. The deal is valued at approximately $6.5 million cash and the assumption of certain related operating liabilities. Mercado had raised over $70 million in VC funding, including a 2004 recap. Existing shareholders included Pitango Venture Capital, Eucalyptus, The Challenge Fund, Consensus Group, Star Ventures, Tamir Fishman Ventures and Valley Venture Capital.
