AT&T acquisition of Wayport on PE Hub

November 6, 2008AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) has agreed to acquire Wayport Inc., an Irving, Texas–based provider of managed Wi-Fi services. The deal is valued at approximately $275 million in cash. Wayport has raised around $155 million in VC funding since 1998, from firms like Seven Rosen Funds, New Enterprise Associates, Millennium Technology Ventures and Scale Venture Partners.
