| Jeff focuses on healthcare investments,
including biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, and healthcare services.
A physician with specialized training in neuropharmacology, his business
experience spans senior operating, consulting, and financial analyst
roles.
Prior to joining Scale Venture Partners as a Kauffman Fellow in 2006, Jeff was Chief Business Officer & Chief Financial Officer for Vela Pharmaceuticals. Earlier, Jeff ran corporate development and operations for WIDCOMM and was also a healthcare services research analyst for Hambrecht & Quist (later, JPMorgan H&Q). As a McKinsey & Company management consultant, he focused on improving portfolio prioritization and creating clinical development efficiencies for two of the world's top five pharmaceutical companies. Jeff graduated Phi Beta Kappa in Biology from Harvard College and earned an M.D. from Harvard Medical School where he was awarded a Rotary Scholarship. He completed psychiatry residency and a clinical neuropharmacology research fellowship at UCLA's Neuropsychiatric Institute & Hospital. |
